I like the line about “awareness, sifting the flour into a bowl from which bread is made”. The seal baby is so precious!

Thanks for that Brent. Many bowls of flour are these days…and baby seals and the minutes we all have together are such gifts.

Reading this poem brings me back to the present. How often I rush through tasks in order to complete them, just to get to the next task to complete in a rush. Instead? Awareness. Sifting the flower. Navigating the boat. Watching the colors of dusk. Thanks for sharing!

I am so glad. Each moment is the only place there is. The future is only each moment we can be present in. And in each moment we are empowered to choose our own focus. I feel really happy that the writing brought you into feeling present. Thank you so much for reading and writing here. Judi

I think that survival used to be awareness. And now, survival is challenging for some in many complex ways.

This reads like a gentle meditation on presence, connection, and the quiet strength of growth. I love how the everyday mud prints, bread-making, waterplay becomes sacred, woven with memory and love.
